Our Story

Adventure Kits was born from my first campervan build, Gus the Bus. Gus was a 2008 Mitsubishi Rosa that I turned from a humble school bus into a fully equipped motorhome for my young family. It had everything: a king bed, a slide out oven and stove, a composting toilet, a washing machine, a rooftop deck, and even a bath or shower in a drawer.

Building Gus was no small task. With limited resources, living in a swag with no running water or power, I spent three months solving one problem after another. Curved walls, vibration from rough roads, and daily wear taught me what actually works, and what does not, in a camper.

While others saw Gus as incredible, solid, reliable, and thoughtfully designed, I saw opportunities to make it better. That drive to improve, to solve problems, and to build something truly exceptional became the foundation of Adventure Kits.
