Our Story
Adventure Kits was born out of my first campervan build—Gus the Bus. Gus was a 2008 Mitsubishi Rosa that I transformed from a humble school bus into a fully equipped motorhome for my young family. It had everything: a king bed, a slide-out oven and stove, a composting toilet, a washing machine, a rooftop deck, and even a bath/shower in a drawer.
Building Gus was no small task. With limited resources—living in a swag with no running water or power—I spent three months solving one problem after another. The curved walls, vibrations from rough roads, and constant wear and tear taught me everything about what works (and what doesn’t) in a campervan.
While others saw Gus as incredible—solid, reliable, and thoughtfully designed—I saw every opportunity to make it better. That drive to improve, to solve problems, and to create something truly exceptional became the foundation of Adventure Kits.
